The Gordon Parks Foundation Gala at Gotham Hall

On June 2, 2009 at Gotham Hall, The Gordon Parks Foundation hosted a benefit auction and photographs celebrating fashion.  During the cocktail hour, I noticed Grace Coddington from Vogue, (I still remember her from the days I temped there for Candy Pratts-Price in the accessories department, so it was a real kick to see her again in person).  Russell Simmons was also there being interviewed. 

The Gordon Parks Foundation was established in 2007 to preserve the work of Gordon Parks and make it available to the public.  The foundation supports individuals who have contributed their lives to the arts.  The proceeds from the auction were used to permanently preserve Gordon's work and make it available to schools, museums and communities around the world.
