Lance Burton Magic Show in Las Vegas

Lance Burton is the best magician I've ever encountered.  I saw his show in July with my daughter & returned to Vegas for my Anniversary making his show a must for my husband to see.  The show was incredible, & never a dull moment. I just don't know how he does it, making doves & geese disappear before your eyes, not to mention the showgirls. The Costumes were fantastic, & how did he go from the stage & end up on the Chandelier in the middle of the theatre with just a flash of a cape? Does he have a twin? His magic astonished my husband; he's never seen anything like it! I loved the part where he engages a boy from the audience to assist him; just to make him disappear before our eyes. Lance then get's into a car that is suspended in

air & drives off. Just amazing, you must see for yourself, definitely a 5 star master magician that will leave you in awe.-P.G. Aly

Mandara Spa, Prive and The Premium Outlets

Mandara Spa, Prive and The Premium Outlets

On Saturday Morning, my friends, mom and myself decided a day at the Mandra Spa at Planet Hollywood might be a good way to prepare ourselves for the "Las Vegas" Lifestyle!

All of our were quite impressed with the Planet Hollywood Casino, it was very modern and the cigarette smoke was minimal. Upstairs, the Mandara Spa welcomed us with a Morrocan type of decor.  The staff greeted us and handed us slippers, a robe and directed us to our lockers. The waiting area in complete with fresh fruit, coffee, juice and water (we took advantage of this since we did not have time for breakfast beforehand).  My mom and I sat in the steam room and felt the toxins leave our body as we breathed in the air. Just outside, chilled washclothes were waiting for us. The shower was refreshing too, we were ready for our day!

Thinking back almost everything seems like a blur, maybe even a distant memory, but we did return later in the evening for Prive' right after Lance Burton at the Monte Carlo and Chippendales (oh yes, Chippendales).

Prive Nightclub reminded us of one of the Manhattan hotspots with the fancy decor and fashionable dancers swaying to the groove.

Also recommended nightlife:

-La Cage and Crazy Girls at the Riveria

If you need a fresh wardrobe (like I did):

-The Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood
and/or

-The Las Vegas Premium Outlets (I bought two dresses at the French Connection store because my clothes smelled like cigarettes and sweat the last day I was there).

Five Days in Las Vegas really will stay with you.

I hope you have as much fun as I did!

The Good Life: by P.G Aly

The Good Life: by P.G Aly

This is a new section written by my mom, P.G. Aly, since we went to Las Vegas in June together and didn't get to see and do everything possible, P.G. Aly decided to review "The Crazy Horse" and go back to "Lance Burton and "Prive" at Planet Hollywood. This is her first article she has ever published and I hope you enjoy her debut as the guest writer for "THE GOOD LIFE:  by P.G. Aly!"

Crazy Horse Review:

L'Art Du Nu

The show opened with an "Introduction Video" of the showgirls backstage preparing for their performance. I was impressed that all the girls had natural bodies & they were all the same height, size & shape, very stunning & in sync with one another. Part of the show consisted of each artistic show girl performing the different signs of the zodiac, explaining the characteristics of each sign & creating a dance or skit with music, some of it in French. The lighting was beautiful & striking with all the different designs& colors throughout the show. The "Crazy Horse Show" was both artistic & entertaining. I would recommend anyone visiting Las Vegas that this would be a must see show.

Las Vegas Visitors Bureau

Las Vegas Visitors Bureau

The Las Vegas Visitors Bureau is also one of the best resources when trying to figure out what best works in your schedule.

COMING SOON: The City Center (located between New York, New York and the Monte Carlo). New eco-friendly condos are currently under construction. The Mandarin Oriental will also be making it's Las Vegas debut.  The Prince of Dubai is one of the main investor's in this project. It seems as if Dubai also might be the New Las Vegas, but that's an entirely different article (or should I say, when and if I get a chance to visit Dubai).

Las Vegas truly does have something for everyone.  Most of the refreshments at the shows are reasonably priced and the locals treated us with gracious hospitality.

Glamour, Fun and Adventure is LAS VEGAS!

Folies Bergere Showgirl!

The Best of Las Vegas

The Best of Las Vegas

As  promised here are my favorite Las Vegas events, attractions and everything in between:

The Miracle Mile Shops At Planet Hollywood: This mall has it all. Find the perfect outfit for a night on the town, also there are plenty of cosmetic stores to find the perfect must-have item in order to "gussy up"..Hungry visitors can have breakfast, lunch or dinner (and all three meals, if you want) under one roof. My personal pick would be the Hawaiian Tropic Zone--there's something for everyone here--a great menu to boot along with friendly, cute (easy on the eyes, scantily-clad servers, yet perfect for any age patron).

Folies Bergere At The Tropicana! When your passport isn't quite in order and you are determined to practice saying, 'Merci Beacoup.." This is the place to be.  This show will keep you guessing and the costumes are glorious!  Everything visiting Las Vegas should be about; beautiful women in stunning outfits complete with catchy numbers.  Drinks and snacks are reasonably priced to boot!

The Smith Center For The Performing Arts located at 6725 Via Usti Parkway is the perfect treat for taking a break from the Las Vegas Strip. Visit: www.TheSmithCenter.com for more information.

Also, The Symbolic Gallery is perfect for Rockstars, Models as well as people like you and me. If you want Glamour with an edge, this is a highly recommended stop while in Las Vegas.  The Symbolic Gallery is currently featuring an exhibit with everyone's favorite, supermodel: KATE MOSS with photos by (New York legendary favorite, Mick Rock).. Johnny Cash and R. Crumb are also part of this wonderful institution.

After all of the sightseeing my girlfriends and managed to do, we stopped by RA Sushi Bar twice for dinner (and then lunch).  Ra Sushi Bar is located in the Fashion Show Mall directly across from the Wynn Hotel (on the Northern part of the strip).  The prices were very reasonable and the quality was superb.  Ra Sushi Bar mixs a bit of rock and roll with style--another must do in Vegas.
